I came into work this morning, trying to figure out the best way for me to monitor election day happenings. So many choices online these days. Video, twitter, blogs, etc. So after opening up about 8 different tabs in my browser, I realized I needed a single interface if I was planning on soaking it in from all these different sources. So I went over to my trusty Netvibes and put together a dashobard integrating:
- MSNBC’s Live Video
- Ustream’s video feed of ABC News
- election.twitter.com
- RSS feed from CNN Political Tracker
- New York Times Election Results dashboard widget
- RSS feed of Twitter search results for election, twitter, and the votereport hashtag

If you’re interested in monitoring the election via Twitter, check out this site Tropicana and New Media Strategies rolled out this morning as the polls opened. It’s called Fresh Squeezed Tweets and it uses a number of interesting tools and pretty graphics to crunch numbers and analyze the ways that people are talking about the election:
